Being a surfer in SoCal you encounter a lot of pelicans. They have this incredible way of flying in formation along the crest of an ocean swell. When the wave breaks they simply fly out to the next swell and do it again. This sculpture has some decent detail. Handcrafted with metal and resin using a technique I developed. Looks exactly like a bronze casting at a fraction of the price. The background is a portion of a Channel Islands nautical map. Below the pelican is both the common name and the scientific name. The shadowbox frame is 12" x 15" and has a glass front. A significat portion of all sales go to the Huntington/Seal Beach Surfrider Foundation Chapter.
This is a special introductory price.
